패튼일렉트로닉스컴퍼니(Patton Electronics Company)가 자사의 ‘스마트노드(SmartNode, goo.gl/tmNlyh)’ VoIP 미디어 게이트웨이가 MS의 통합 커뮤니케이션 오픈 상호호환성 프로그램(Unified Communications Open Interoperability Program, UCOIP, goo.gl/IvxiKH)을 통해 ‘링크(Lync) 서버 2013’과의 상호호환성 검증 및 인증을 마쳤다고 밝혔다.

스마트노드는 자사 구내 자동전화 교환 설비(PBX), 전화기, 스피커, 무선호출기와 팩스 기기, 기존 FXS/FXO POTS 서비스 혹은 ISDN BRI/PRI 선을 그대로 유지하고자 하는 기업들이 링크를 기반으로 통합 커뮤니케이션 솔루션을 시행할 때 직면하는 상호호환성이라는 문제를 해결해준다.

호환이 안되는 음성 기기나 비인증 SIP 전화 시스템등과 같은 전화 네트워크 요소를 사용하는 기업들은 링크 인증 스마트노드 VoIP 게이트웨이를 사용해 링크 통합 커뮤니케이션 서버와의 연결 및 상호호환이 가능해진다.
